Reworking the user interface.
It’s not finished, bugged and still a mix of the new one and the old one…
But I think I like where this is going.
You can check the old version on itch.io

No larva is safe if the turret is in place. - Einstein
For 40$ this beauty will shoot whatever is in front of them… 3 times! Pew pew pew! You can also change its direction any time… wich is also cool.
It’ll be released on the next build (in a few days).
Meanwhile, you can test the last build (0.1.3) on itch.io - it has lots of bugs so it should be fun!

Fog of war is in (and improved from last post), enemy stats are now randomized plus lots of bugs fixed!

Added fog of war!
Also, missed bullets will fly on a different direction now and enemies have randomized stats (hp, attack and evasion rate)!

There’s a brand new HUD (not finished yet), restructured combat system, fire modes, grenades, etc…
I’m not going to post the change log this time because it’s just huge.
Here’s the game’s analytics on itch.io:

I’m happy to see that a dozen people have already played the last version and some even left feedback, wich is always nice!
Thank you so much!
If you like it, send me some love!

The new game HUD is colorful, informative and clean. And it’s almost finished. There’s still information to display but I haven’t figured out just HOW to display it.
I won’t be releasing this build just yet though. I want to add that [F] attack (it’s a grenade btw) before i do.

A small teaser of what I’ve been working on: game HUD + lots of info.
I’ll be releasing this build (0.1.2) on itch.io tomorrow, when I’m done with the HUD.
(Play the last released build here)
Also preparing to start adding a new area!
Hint: It won’t be a spaceship.

Got a question? Ask me anything :)

Today I’ve reworked the combat turn system as per suggestion on itch.io.
I’m also currently designing the game HUD as you can see on the image above.

If you’re not careful, the larvas will easily overrun you!
Here’s how to deal with them:
You should allways focus the Larva Eggs first, so that they don’t spawn new larvas.
Then you need to be careful: larvas neighboring other larvas will reproduce (meaning they’ll spawn new eggs) if their health is below 66%.
So make sure you attack larvas with no neighbors or the ones you can kill before it’s their turn.
Anyways, I’m going to start working on other screens and new areas so that there’s actually stuff to do!

New build (0.1.1) released on itch.io!
Story intro is in. Revamped HUD, and more!

Aaand I’ve posted this on the wrong tumblr so here i go again:
Thanks guys for the help with the game story!
I’ve already implemented a first draft in the game!
So basically, you fell in love with a young cyborg who was kidnapped and taken to the far end of the Galaxy by some pirates.
So you went and asked a mafia boss for help, and he gave you a ship, money and a crew to help you get your loved one back.
You did so, and now you both live happily.
But you have a huge debt to pay off to a mafia guy who will allways be asking for more.
Im scratching my head trying to come up with a decent story for the game… But this is hard.
The game is about a character who goes around the Galaxy cleaning up other people’s messes for money or generally just doing things they cant do themselves.
Things like retrieving a spaceship (or something important from it) that has been overrun by aliens… Or teaching a lesson to a thug who terrorizes someone else’s life, etc. It could be anything really.
My problem is to WHY he/she does it. I mean, it’s his/her job, but what does he/she needs the money for?
